Lyndon: We used to do this -
IP4r Tests were done by IMail- adding header so Declude could do weights. Declude was doing junk mail filtering We stopped and moved it all to Declude. The problem we had was spam was getting through without any IMail or Declude headers- after calling IPSwitch about the issue I was told that it is Declude's problem. Since I was not satisfied with the answer.. I did a little test- we moved all of our tests to Declude and disabled spam filtering by IMail. Since then not a single spam has gotten through. Apparently when SMTP crashes IMail does not hand over the email to Declude and delivers it directly. Right now we use Declude 100% and really don't have any spam problems and see no reason for going back to the old way we were doing it. We have recently enabled spam filtering... >>> All this talk about Imail spam filtering crashing the SMTP service does not sound very good. I currently use Declude JunkMail, and have also just purchased Imail v8. I was going to start using the Imail spam filtering because then I can role out the administration to the host admins via web messaging - so that they can configure their own rules and actions etc. I would still need Declude JunkMail for our SMTP clients, because Imails spam filtering only works on the POP3 domains (I think). But without writing my own application, I can't delegate control of this through a GUI to the host admins. What are peoples thoughts on the Imail spam filtering? What % of users seem to have a problem with it crashing the SMTP service?
