I'm looking for a "not to expensive but efficient" network sniffer. I don't know much about sniffers... :(

Problem is that the computer that I need to monitor is a Mac... Soon to be change for PC. So I can't really "connect" to it with my laptop.
With wireless and switched networks, it gets tricky monitoring connections that aren't your own. You'll have to hunt to find someone that will work with Windows and wireless networks (and even then, you need specific brands of hardware). For switched networks, you're out of luck, and would need to do something like add a hub in order to monitor the traffic.
