AFAICS, you read that _in reply to_ your post! There's no reason to
play fast and loose with the order of things if you want a factual
response to your question.

Okay, but you _didn't_ check the archives. If you had, you'd see that
in some senses the jury is out on which is the "forward" way to do
OHNs and aliases, and which is the "backward."
We _always_ use the canonical host name for the OHN--that is, unless
the server is known on the public Internet as example.com, we use
mail.example.com or similar. Mail is much too sensitive, IMO and E, to
risk the appearance of irregularity by having one host impersonate
another host at any time in the SMTP transaction (i.e. in the EHLO),
even aside from the WM/WC hyperlink issue.
