Check task manager to
see what processes are running and consuming your CPU. That will start giving
you hints of what is going on. Make sure every process is right, legal and not
suspicious of virus, Trojans, etc.
What email volume do
you process every day?

In another forum I
read in a recent post that somebody with 100%CPU discovered that the problem
was because of viruses.

I work for a webhost that maintains 25
separate installations of Imail Server running the latest version
(8.05?). Each server contains approximately 1,000 separate domains,
with no set limit on the user inboxs. When we were using v7.15, we
had major problems with emails getting stuck in queue. This was
resolved when upgrading to the 8.0 series, however the trade off was that we
now have major problems with CPU load. Typically, the CPU runs at
about 100% during what I would call a 'normal' load. CPU is split
b/t Queue Manager, SMTP, and occasionally the Web Messaging
processes.
Any suggestions on how to ease my troubled
CPU?
