Just curious Scott, I took a peek at my smtp logs and they don't look that
different...

I just checked the dns records for Mindspring and saw that the IP you quoted
was in fact not in the MX records, is that how you figured it out?

Correct. I don't believe that you can tell from the log files when IMail goes to the A record (although it *really* should log that!). I just went to http://www.DNSstuff.com to look up the MX/A records.
