Which is BAAAAD practice nowadays as over 99.9% of all emails containing a virus are just that, an email with a virus. Imagine an infected computer sending hundreds of virus e-mails to auser. The mailserver for the user strips all the virusses and then forwards the e-mail. This users mailbox will now be overloaded will e-mails which contain no usefull information. On a related thing: I've had to deal with a mailserver *bouncing* e-mails with a virus to the address in the From line a few days ago. They had a spam/virus scanner which was set up to bounce mail they did not accept, sending virusses and spam to users that had nothing to do with sending the original mail.
