Please keep it to Imail and not 3rd part products.

Please re-read my post. It had nothing to do with third party products.

If I go and by my car and the tachometer quits working or I think it's
faulty I want to get it fixed. So I go to the dealership and see what can
be done with what I have. Now, if the dealer said, "Well what you need here
is a Zippity-Do-Da Tachometer 4000. It runs about $350 and it will work
much better than the one your car came with."

Now, if I try to fix what I have and it still doesn't work or I am not
satisfied...then I will go looking for third party solutions. Until
then...promote your product elsewhere.

If it takes you 100 hours to fix it, you're valuing your time at $3.50/hour. That's fine for you as an individual. But for a for-profit company (or even non-profit, if paid employees are involved), stockholders (or board members) will scream if you pay someone $6 or $10 or $50 an hour for 100 hours just to save spending $350.

You are welcome to do it yourself (whether or not you save money). But please don't attack the very logical advice that is here (so logical that I'm sure many people have lost jobs for not heeding it).
