Another way is to not use Virtual Domains. Assign each mail domain it’s own IP Address. Then in your POP3 Client, you simply specify that IP address as the mail server. Then you don’t need to use the fully email address in the account setup.

When accessing webmail, point the users to that new IP, eg domain1 = 10.0.1.1:8383, domain 2 = 10.0.1.2:8383, etc

This is how we do it and it works well.

Actually, after reading your email a little closer you want this to work over pop3 not webmail. You're going to have to tell your customers to use their entire email address as their username. WebMail or KWM has no effect on Pop3. I believe you would have to assign each domain an IP in order to use just the username but I'm sure someone on the list will confirm or deny?

The KillerWebMail Add-on will let you login with just the username on all virtual domains.

I have multiple domains on a single server with static ip addresses.  While logging into email some of these domains have to enter the full email address and password to connect to the pop server and some of the domains can log in using only their usernames.  Does anyone know what my be causing this to happen?

Thank you,

Joshua
