> 571 - MAIL REFUSED - Reverse DNS failed - IP address mismatch. The implication of this error is that your outgoing IP, 63.147.233.20, fails the common "loopback" test that checks to see if there is a seamless IP-to-PTR-to-A-to-IP mapping. However, 63.147.233.20 indeed loops back correctly to mail.sbsnet.com and back to 63.147.233.20, meaning that the remote end is having DNS issues (or is misreporting the reason for the rejection).
Note that your are HELOing as sbsnet.com, which is NOT in fact the canonical name for the mail server (its A record points to another IP): this is not a good practice, and also possible grounds for rejection. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release/ Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange Addresses into IMail Aliases! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/download/release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
