I tried telnetting to 3 different mail servers - imail, MS SMTP and
Postfix and they all gave consistent responses when I issued the helo
command - they responded with the hostname that I expected. So why do

What IS a reliable way to check the hostname that IP is sending? I'm
still left with a variation of my initial question: Does Imail respond
with a consistent hostname regardless of which virtual host it is
sending email for? Is it this hostname that some remote servers will
try to match the reverse DNS to? Finally, how do I change the hostname
that Imail is sending so I can make sure it matches the reverse DNS
entry?

Thanks,
Masen
