Well all I can say is that my filters treat inbound email that fail both the VALHELO and VALREVDNS as spam. If one of them pass then the email gets passed to the next set of inbound rule. Works well for me! This still doesn't answer my original question though. The domain is in the whitelist and the imail logs show this, but the X-IMAIL-SPAM headers are being added to the email regardless. I can only assume that this is occurring because these tests are performed prior to the whitelist check, instead of after.
