Using VALHELO and REVDNS together does seem to work well at getting rid of spam. I've only had one false positive using this method, hence the problem with the whitelist domain.
This, with other Imail spam rules filter about 99% of the spam. Remove it and I end up with about 60% of it being filtered instead. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, July 19, 2004 6:17 PM Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Whitelisted domains don't work! > Aaron, > > Switch off these silly tests. > > VALHELO and REVDNS produce more false positives than helping with spam, as > professional spammers have perfect reverse dns and flawless helo values... > Are you hosting more than one single domain on your mailserver?
