Sorry, but we are not able to find anything in the log about this spam
mails. The relay is closed. We have kept "No Mail Relay". So it could be
possible that the mails are originating from the IP we have kept as
trusted IP. Though will just check the logs if I can find something.
Though have gone through the spam log many times but could not find
anything.

.SMD files are just the files that IMail uses when an E-mail arrives.
So
what you are really saying is that "E-mail gets generated
automatically". That would occur if you have a program running that
automatically generates E-mail.

This helps narrow it down -- this means that the E-mails are being
relayed
for a mail client. For example, when you send E-mail to this list, the
received is not hosted on your server (and IMail, like most mailservers,
doesn't check the return address, as it is trivial to forge).

Well, it sounds like there is spam originating from your server, so
there
is definitely a problem.
First, you *must* make sure that the anti-relay settings are either "No
Mail Relay" or "Relay for Addresses". Anything else is really "Relay
for
spammers".
If you have done that, you can then check the IMail SMTP log file to see
where these E-mails are coming from, and to see how they are getting in
(is
the spammer authenticating? coming from an IP you listed as safe? using
a
deprecated routing protocol that IMail accepts?).
