Kim,

If I am read your convention correctly, the path is wrong. Should be:
\imail\virtualhosts\domain\lists\listname\trailer.txt

This assumes you created the "virtualhosts" folder and that the top
directory settings for the host in question, points to that path.
Normally, the path would be more like:
\imail\domainname\lists\listname or if in the primary domain:
\imail\lists\listname.

Try creating the file using IMail Administrator (it will bring up
Notepad) and trailer.txt should end up in the path I showed (if not,
better double check the domains "Top Directory" setting). My guess is
that the web cannot create the file (maybe permissions as others
indicate, but web likely will be able to at least read/modify it), but
IAdmin should be able to create it and put it in the right place. If
that is true, only then might you be able to manipulate via web
interface.
