We will start evaluating MDaemon (Windows, www.altn.com, which we are a resseler and have been selling many to small clients, we will evaluate in large installation) and Exim (Free, Unix, www.exim.org)

Actually my concerns are more about the future life of Imail as separate
stand-alone email server.  Or will it become so integrated into the
Collaboration package that one will be forced to the package?  Also will
Imail development/improvements take a back seat to the package?

Instead of creating an add-on package, the collaboration package is an all
encompassing package, including Imail, Premium Anti-Virus and Killer

This is crazy.

You are being asked to pay for Imail again along with paying for "Premium
Anit-Virus" even if you already have Imail and do not want the Anti-Virus.
