I am sure this is not even close to the number of installations that
IPSwitch has but represents the MostKnowledgable part of the user base. If
these users migrate to another product then the support group will be
greatly diminished in its usefulness. This may take a while and others may
step up to the plate.
But you have a house of cards here. As users balk at the pricing model and
move to other products. Less revenues for IPSwitch. they may be counting on
fewer sales at a greater price, but I think it is foolish to have the
capability to offer it the way users want and offer a value menu. they are
limiting their revenue stream.
I let our MIS manager and CFO know about this change today and they both
stated that we would stick with IMail for the current service agreement and
look for other options when it expires/becomes too outdated/vulnerable to
operate.
