I think the visioneries at Ipswitch has missed a great "Microsoft" like once in a lifetime opportunity.

So many LAN administrators (all over the world) ARE looking for a cost effective pop3 based email server solutions that provides calendar and contact sync for Outlook users. Ipswitch finally came out with a product that does all that. (how well it does that? don't have a clue.)

Can you imagine how many customers of other email server products (from all over the world) would've switched to Imail for the current price? (even if you double the price)

In a good business tactics, first you supposed to get the client base, only THEN start raising the price OF THE SAME PRODUCT, slowly throughout several years.

(Under client base I don't mean the CURRENT IMAIL server client base, but I mean the base of masses who would have purchased the whole enchilada of the new Imail server within the next couple of years).

But coming out with a new product, with a sky rocketing price, at the same time ignoring your CURRENT client base who does NOT need this product, didn't make too much sense.
