Hmmm...we should use either a much more expensive product or a free product,
but not something in the middle?  While you are probably entirely correct
regarding these particular products, the logic seems a bit inconsistent.

no, because what is in "the middle" is probably weaker than Imail, which is at the top, the reason it's been the market leader for Windows integrated mail software for years.


Basically anyone should do the research, their own testing (preferably with
as much volume as they can generate...perhaps even switching a non-critical
domain and running with it for a couple of months), and get feedback from
existing users before switching.

Any particular products/versions to be very careful of?

no, my contact with non-Imail has been sporadic. I can't dump on any of them with any certainty, but assume they're out there and are below where Imail has been/is now. iow, looking at price and THEIR features list, at THEIR "ours vs theirs" list, is hardly sufficient.


Probably one good exercise for this list would be to make a detailed Imail features list and use that as first level elimination of the others.
