Corporate greed is evil, once it starts I it can spread like a cancer.
For me, Monday's announcement is irrelevant. Ipswitch played their hand, and allowed us to see how they truly view their customer base.

"I encourage all of you to download and evaluate ICS. If it doesn't meet your needs, I wish you success with a product that does."
If they crawfish now, it won't be because they had an epiphany and realized they really liked their customers after all. They told me all I need to know, and I am going to take Mr. Karp's advice. I will not work with an arrogant company who displays contempt for their current customers. There are too many other options for that.
