Bill,
I feel the need to respond from the corporate side of the equation. You
mentioned the ISP side and symantec, but we as a corporate user do not wish
to use symantec also. We tried it when we first purchase Imail. You might
thnk symantec unlimited is valueable, but it did not do it for us. It was
cumbersome, did not block as well as what we have now with Mcafee + declude.
We also already pay a healthy sum to NAI for their enterprise package. For
us, bundling it in only makes us pay double for something we already own
(virus protection).

Maybe symantec is a good product, but not everyone chooses to use it. To be
honest, when we used symantec we found it allowed some infected emails
through and the server needed to be rebooted a couple times a day if a
break-out was occuring. Now with Mcafee + declude, we have very few
infections and the server never seems to miss a beat.
