My guess is that many of us are thinking them not making a profit is not our fault and that we shouldn't need to pay the price for their own internal issues. Often when John Q. Public is already feeling like they are getting the short end of the stick, the way to get more money from them is offer them something better, then ask more money for it. However it first needs to be better before the average person will pay more for it.
If they can't afford their operation costs now, where to you think the 40% increased cost will be going? It surely will not go for better tech support, or more programmers to provide needed updates faster. The only question now is are we too lazy to do the work it takes to move on, or do we take the easy way and try to feed what could be a sinking company?
