UW imapd can send an unsolicited UIDVALIDITY and UIDNEXT, but only if a 
mailbox goes from empty (meaning ambiguous mailbox format) to non-empty 
(meaning determinate format).

UW imapd does not have any path in which a non-empty selected mailbox can 
change its UIDVALIDITY.  It prohibits RENAME if the mailbox is selected 
(which is probably a good idea in any case).
