The 'ps aux', 'tar zxvf', '/sbin/ifconfig -a' types of things are
bigger generators of cognative dissonance for me when I move between
platforms then the top vs prstat types of things (different commands or
different locations). Almost the same can really be painful when
fingers have their own training they pay attention to. Maybe a shell
variable on by default which sets up a bunch of aliases and scripts
which attempt to help the person adjust might be useful in these
cases. It should a learning/adjustment tool not an attempt at a
substandard linux compatability layer.
