Indeed, I am. If all of prstat's shortcomings were fixed, and if invoked as top (via a symlink) it looked exactly like top (except that it benefited from more accurate numbers that prstat can provide), and provided all the functionality of top, would that not be acceptable? > * Those with Solaris backgrounds will value prstat being enhanced > * Those with GNU/Linux backgrounds will expect top to just be there > and will treat it as damage if it's not > > So do both!
