Yup. Totally agree, especially if you can make getting anything that isn't
already installed, (but that you want), just a simple command away.

I just love this Ubuntu feature (presumably available on other Linux
variants too):

$ freeloader
The program 'freeloader' is currently not installed.  You can install it 
by typing:
sudo apt-get install freeloader
Make sure you have the 'universe' component enabled
bash: freeloader: command not found
