Since the vast majority of HPC users are Linux users these days... in  
a word no.

Once we have more of the "gnu userland" and other "linux migration"  
bits that would seem to me to be the heart of Indiana, it will be  
more suitable than SXCE/SXDE.

Where by "usability gap" we mean "it looks, tastes or smells  
different" than Linux, I suppose so.
