How is affecting OpenSolaris?

Currently, no officially recognized OpenSolaris distribution exists.

Therefore, it is impossible to affect backwards-compatibility of
something that no compatibility has yet been deifned for.

As far as stability and quality, that is a matter of opinion so you
cannot use those as a factual basis for your request.
