Nope. Anything in /usr/gnu/bin is there because it's not compatible
or POSIX compliant. Sun only promises POSIX compliance of the tools
you get when your PATH starts with /usr/xpg6/bin:/usr/xpg4/bin:/usr/bin.
(Exact PATH varies depending on which exact version of POSIX you want
compliance with.)
No one has ever promised /usr/gnu/bin would be POSIX compliant.
