Not when you realise that Project Indiana is only made up of software distributed or maintained by members of the community from OpenSolaris.org. Solaris by contrast contains 3rd party commercial components, etc. > Likewise saying that Indiana--OpenSolaris to-be-- is a Community distro > sounds silly to me. What's silly is to try to label something performed by Sun because you (incorrectly) believe that Sun employees were the only ones responsible. If Intel started a distribution project here on OpenSolaris.org and got approval for the name would you insist they call it "Intel's OpenSolaris distribution"? I would hope you would realise that everyone here is a member of the community. We need to stop treating people as "Sun" or "Intel" or whoever their employer is. -- Shawn Walker, Software and Systems Analyst http://binarycrusader.blogspot.com/ "We don't have enough parallel universes to allow all uses of all junction types--in the absence of quantum computing the combinatorics are not in our favor..." --Larry Wall _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
