OK! I Installed Indiana Developer Preview on my laptop and yes it installed
very easily, quickly and a small foot print compared to the OpenSolaris Express
Community Edition which I have been using for ages, so well done.

But here are my questions
- It did not create a GRUB menu item for my windows O/S - found out how to fix
it but you need to put this on your FAQ now (don't forget it a zfs location)

- Again, the GRUB menu did not include a failsafe mini root - WHY?

- I do not understand why you can not log onto the GNOME interface as root.
What happens if something goes wrong or I forget my user password. Please tell
me how to log onto the machine as root?

- Packages: I may have not looked in the right places, but I do not see how I
can install other packages onto the system using the pkg command. i.e.
Compilers, Office, etc. Is there a pkg server yet and if so how do I use it?
Again, a FAQ.

- I notice there is no Java and don't understand why? Since it is only about
60MB so it could fit on the CD or is there another reason?

Anyway, well done but I think a Indiana may be a bit late in coming to the
desktop (2 years to late) and I still do not see how you are going to get
people to drop there existing linux desktops for this one. You need to offer
something new and exciting and having the same interface as everyone else, but
telling them it has a Solaris core will not do the trick.

Anyway, I will keep it a little longer before putting good old "Nevada" back on.

Thanks
Andrew
