hello,

i have been running OpenSolaris off and on for a while now but always reverted
back to linux because I missed some features like a package manager, pptp and
some other things. That is why i was really excited when I learned about
Indiana. Opensolaris with binary package management that would be the thing to
get me to switch entirely especially since it was developed by the debian
developer, my favourite distro and package manager ever.

However I have tried both previews and found it somewhat lacking. It has
nowhere near the level of polish Opensolaris has and what is more important it
is missing all the quality Solaris branded apps that set Nevada aside from
linux, like StarOffice and the Sun developer suite, the solaris theming,
wallpapers, etc. Will all this stuff be made available for Indiana as well or
will it just use GNU/GPL apps like OOo? I would really like to see the same
level of polish on Indiana with all the SUN stuff included, now it just looks
like another plain Linux distro, apart from all the underlying technology
ofcourse.

thanks,
stefan
