well i am really torn at the moment.

I WANT to switch to Solaris from linux but i just cant get it working right, i
mean on nevada everything just looks Sooo good, no matter how hard I try I can
never get linux looking just that smooth especially the fonts are A+ in nevada,
even compiling nimubs on linux still has it suck at fonts and especially
consistency around all apps.

However with Nevada i miss my usenet reader, multimedia support, video editing,
(torrent) downloader, multimedia plugins, pptp client, krdc destop app, etc.
and when I use blastwave it downloads another gnome installation entirely as a
dependency for even tsclient.

On the other hand indiana sounds very promising it just looks really crappy, i
know it is still a preview but just having the theming and fonts from nevada
with the afore mentioned (binary) applications would be the perfect mix.

And does anyone know if the solaris branded non-free stuff will make it into
Indiana (like staroffice and sunstudio) as opposed to OOo? I heard there were
distribution issues regarding the SUN stuff.

thanks,
stefan
