FYI:
I just installed OSOL 2009.6 VirtualBox 2.2.4r47978,
Macbook Pro and on a Dell XPS: no problem whatsoever.
So these are fresh install...
I do know that one has to finishing up the installation.
How try this:
1. re-install
2. noot from diskm once you see the blue-screen hit
return and see if you see anything on console.
