What happens here when I choose that line is the grub prompt
disappears (as expected) and a text screen showing version info
appears.

That screen then remains on display and nothing further happens.  It
just sits there for ever.

Let me ask something here... are there ISOs of the various builds
somewhere?

What I see here:
  http://www.genunix.org/distributions/indiana/

Appears to go up to 2009.6 of May and no builds beyond that one, which
is 111.

The other files there have the format:
        osol-1002-118-x86.iso

And don't appear to be 2009.6 based.  (What are those?)
