i also visit the plant id facebook page you mentioned from time to time w
hen i dont know what i just photographed esp in USA, Canada or Europe


several points of distinction though ....
A.....its an open page (unlike the one you folks started a few years ago )
B......no body there  insists  on species level id when the incomplete
pictures
that are submitted (as often our members do) (it drives me nuts)..

C.....  there is no undue posts ..thank you etc to increase number of
posts, esp when it makes no sense

D..... no repeating comments, (also  done here o increase number of
posts....)

E.....and i suspect they are not allowed to post pictures of the same item
( from another site or another day)

i think that's why that group out of many is successful.
but their mission and long term goal is most likely different from our
goal.s

so different strokes for different folks,
we have to live and let live
nobody's better than any body else.
