Hi,
 This is Syzygium caryophyllifolia [S.gibsonii]. It is fairly common in 
Matheran,Mahabaleshwar & Khandala.

The attached photos were taken at Matheran, Maharashtra on 18 March 2012.
The tree was approximately 12 feet tall and the leaves were approximately 5 
inches long with a prominent wavy entire margin.
Any ID help is appreciated.
