I am in no hurry. However, the history of Indic computing and its ability to convince Unicode consortium tells me that either they do not listen or they will listen at slower than snail pace. You raised an important issue: what will happen to the documents that use private user area. As I mentioned it will work only if all the fonts are modified in the same way. This cannot be reached without agreement among developers.
