Is the GusDur-Mega Administration willing and able to reopen the KKN/corruption investigations of former President Suharto and all of his "cronies"? Will the Gus Dur Mega Administration resolve once and for all the Bank Bali case? 2. Will The Gus Dur Mega Administration aggressively complete the investigations, arrests, trials, and sentencing all those who have been suspected of the brutalities, the killings, the torture, and other heinous crimes in Aceh, Ambon, Irian Jaya, East Timor, "Trisakti I and II", Ciamis, Banyuwangi, etc etc? 3. Will The Gus Dur Mega Administration quickly move to revise the 1945 Constitution and begin the democratic process of establishing a truly legislative and judiciary bodies in order to prevent the Suharto type of excessive power centralization; or, are they merely mouthing "the supremacy of the law" and "democracy"? 4. If and when a province aggressively demands much greater autonomy or even an East Timor like referendum (say in Aceh), would the Gus Dur Mega Administration allow the use of the notorious security approach, which is still a tempting option for some elements in the TNI? Can the Gus Dur Mega Administration control the TNI? 5. Will the Gus Dur Mega Administration acknowledge and respect the results of the East Timor referendum, allowing them to have a free country independent of Indonesia? Or, will they grudgingly accuse Australia and other Western countries of conspiring against Indonesia by using E. Timor as a military and intelligence headquarters (a truly laughable position in the rest of the world!) ? 6. Will the Gus Dur Mega Administration accomodate the fanatics among Islamic leaders who condemn , or at least can't help feeling contemptuous of, Christians, Chinese, Americans, etc To what extent the Gus Dur Mega Administration believe and practice what Islam preaches (feed the hungry, rescue the orphans, establish peace and tolerance, humility, etc) 7. What would The Gus Dur Mega Administration's specific policies and interventions be to cope with the most urgent problems in Indonesia: at least 80 million people are starving, the banking mess, the economic mess, the capital flights, the continuing violence in Aceh and Ambon, the reestablishmentof confidence among international investorss and creditors,etc,etc? 8. Does The Gus Dur Mega Administration have any specific plans for eradicating or at least reducing the pervasive "KKN culture" found in all levels of Indonesian society? 9. As democrats and persons of impeccable integrity who are free of any KKN, would President Gus Dur and Vice President Mega be willing to reveal (or be audited for) all their assets, their wealth, their investments, their properties. so that they become an instant model of the leaders free of KKN and the clean government? 10. As democrat and leaders with established opposition to militarism, will the Gus Dur Mega Administration appoint a civilian as his Minister of Defense and Security (as they do in all democratic countries)? 11. What will the GusDur Mega Administration specific-cally do to keep Aceh, Ambon, Irian Jaya, etc as integral parts of Indonesia, without military and security approach, and by making fair distribution of resources a reality?
