Thank you, I'm glad to know they are aware of the issue and sad to learn they have no plans to change the situation.

I believe that Apple ships 1.10 because it is the last version that use the old directory wrapper code. I'm pretty sure that if you try to use various Apple tools that want to check in directories as entire binary files, they will break with newer versions of CVS.
