i have no experience on solaris, and i read from the doc it can be tricky to set up
pam on it. i use linux as my environment, so i just add /etc/pam.d/imap and modify
/etc/ldap.conf and all is set to go.

actually i run
pam_ldap-113
cyrus-sasl-1.5.24
cyrus-imapd-2.0.12
on a solaris 2.6
and my ldap server is a Netscape Directory server running on an other
machine
