I just got Cyrus-imapd version 2.0.14 and Cyrus-sasl version 1.5.24 compiled
and installed on a RH 7.0 box. Everything was running ok until we had the
flooding in Houston. Now that I have connectivity back, I notice there is a
bunch of mail in /var/spool/mqueue. Sendmail tries to deliver it to cyrus,
but after receiving about 3 or 4 messages, the lmtp process spawned by the
Cyrus master process dies with a complaint of being signalled to death by
signal 11.

What could be going on? I have increased the number in
/proc/sys/fs/file-max and /proc/sys/fs/inode-max to make sure I not running
out of file handles. Has anyone else seen this?

I am still a relative newbie to Linux and not all that adept at trouble
shooting issues like signal 11. I have read in many places that it can be
hardware related, but I do not think that is the case since everything else
on the box (apache, postgresql) do not suffer from it.

Even when I shut down all other non-essential services down to provide more
system resources to Cyrus, I still get the same symtpoms.

Thanks in advance for any help,
--Moby
