Not in Gnus on my machine. Here is a screenshot of my test, opening an HTML email with an image in it: * http://koldfront.dk/misc/gnus/open-email.png I have to explicitly do M-x gnus-article-show-images to fetch the image. Then it looks like this: * http://koldfront.dk/misc/gnus/after-show-images.png I was monitoring the log of the webserver while testing, so I am quite sure of this.
