Thank you. I had not checked using ‘Emacs -Q’. So, using Emacs 30.2, a quick method for installing ‘boxquote’ (or other packages known to be in one of the archives listed in ‘package-archives’) is: 1. List a description of the package: C-h P Describe package: boxquote RET 2. Look in the *Help* buffer that provides a description of ‘boxquote’ for the ‘Install’ button. Click on that button to install the package. After the installation has completed, the ‘Install’ button will be replaced by an ‘Delete’ button that can be used if you decide that the package is not suitable for you. -- The lyf so short, the craft so long to lerne. - Geoffrey Chaucer, The Parliament of Birds.
