We monitor ALL printing by staff and students. We do not charge staff or elementary students. After reading Jon's response I may have to reconsider our price structure. We allow 200 sheets FREE before we charge students (10 cents). This includes business keyboarding students, journalism, yearbook, WCTV, all students. The first year we granted exceptions and we had parents calling to have their son or daughter exempt -- forget it. Students do plan accordingly. We also give our Printing Policy to ALL parents in the school registration packet. John Kidney Webster City

(Clever solution about the business lab issue--special thanks!) Do you have paperwork that you give parents or students to let them know about this? If this kids run out their 200 pages, do you allow printing or wait 'til they've added to their account? Do you monitor staff printing at all? C. I also don't have our business lab involved in the accounting process, because they kids would be out of pages the first semester. Of course I do not tell them this. Instead I tell them that during the class period it doesn't count. > > > >---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- >From: Charlton Pendry <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Date: Thu, 29 May 2003 11:20:19 -0500 > >>Besides Webster City schools, is anyone out there monitoring printing done >>by each of your users? >> >>If so, are you giving students a specific amount of printing and charging >>them for additional printing? staff? >> >>If you're not monitoring printing, are you charging students in any way for >>their printing? staff? >> >>Oh, and happy summer! >> >>Charlton >> >> >>Charlton H.
