Dear Iowa Schools,
Apple Computer, ITEC, and Waukee Community Schools are sponsoring the first annual Iowa Digital Media Competition. We intend to showcase the best digital media work by the K-12 students of Iowa. We will have several digital categories and two age groups for the competition. The attached PDFs are the Application that must accompany the project when it is submitted and the Digies competition rules. Please read the rules carefully and fill out the application completely.
Please forward this email to all of your buildings and teachers and AEAs, please forward to all of your curriculum coordinators. You won't want anyone to miss this event and the opportunity to showcase student projects! Sorry, no higher education projects will be accepted, only K-12 work.

And the categories are: Best Sports Highlight Video / Yearbook or group related video Best Curriculum Related Video Best Community Promotional Video Best Digital Music Score Best Digital Still Image (Photoshop, Freehand or other graphics application) Best Digital Still Picture (image from a digital camera, un-retouched)
Each category will have a K-6 and a 7-12 winner. All projects will be displayed at the Apple Booth during the ITEC Conference October 13-14, 2003. Teachers, family and friends are also invited to the awards presentation Monday October 13, 2003 at Waukee High School.
