Actually the more I think about it you could do this with any list serv.
You can easily and FREEly send SMS messages from your email client.

Create a list of those emails and it will text everyone on the list at
NO COST to the school. In theory this should work. I have tried
emailing an SMS to myself and it works, but never tried a mass email.
