This is the very reason that the technology directors need to be a part of the Iowa Core implementation process. I am going to leave my personal opinions about the value of the ICC training aside, but we all need to be active in the planning at our buildings. If you are not currently a part of this core group, put yourself in it for building and district level planning. I know we all hate meetings especially finding more to attend but the ONLY way we will have access to the MS money (at least this batch) will be with ICC tie-ins.

I mentioned the tie-in to the my staff that was attending ICC meetings, they said they hadn’t been told such at the meetings. Sounds like a disconnected between DoE and AEA. I guess a lack of fidelity (just for you Karl).

We have not heard anything yet from Microsoft.

On another note, how many of your are going to apply for the other Microsoft money and can you share your plans tied to the Iowa Core Curriculum? I could use some help in this area.

Thanks,

Ann

Jeremy,

I sent a copy of the invoices with the first application, never had verification. Mine is only for $8,000, but everything counts.

Thanks for the info.

Murray-

I received a packet in the mail for verification of all of that stuff. None of my Select licenses were in there, so I need to gather all of my invoices, even though they said originally we didn’t have to, and send them up for evaluation. As for the operating system section that we originally had to supply the invoices for, they haven’t got that far, so we just have to continue waiting on that. They only tried to short me about $23,000 from my original estimates.

            Oh what fun!!!

Jeremy

Has anyone seen/heard of the original round of lawsuit money from Microsoft? (From all the paperwork we filled out over a year ago) Since the John O’Conner meeting in November, I haven’t heard any noise. I wonder if we are better off contacting Steve J. about this…
