We had been using GLPI since before it was GLPI... It was IRM. GLPI has worked very well for us. It provides the main functions that we were looking for and use. It tries to do some of the more advanced functions like Project Management, but seems to fall short. We also use OCS Inventory.
The biggest advantage it has over a move to SchoolDude was cost...Free!
