Does anyone know of a company that would come in and do a network survey and see if there are any issues on our network concerning DNS, DHCP or any other mis-configured network programs. Or if you know of a program that will help me with finding a source to my problem.

If so, we had an issue with those dealing with fragmentation/RTS thresholds. We had some old b cards that did not like large Frag/RTS thresholds so we had them set low. The N-Draft cards do not like them that low and exhibit behavior similar to what you are describing. So, to fix it we increased the Fragmentation threshold to 2048 and the RTS threshold to 2049 and now all is well with the N-draft cards. However, the old b cards no longer function, which is mostly ok for us since we no longer use those devices except for 1 old palm pilot to program the door locks. We ran into that here. All I did was either remove or disable that software, and then Windows took over control of the wireless, and I had no more problems. Sarah Sarah M. We recently bought a mobile lab cart with 30 hp laptops and have nothing but problems with them. They came loaded with Vista Business and have plenty of RAM and processor speed to do what we need. Just never have any luck with printing to the printer on the cart, accessing the internet, loading up students personal drives and the mapped drives. I will log in as administrator, fix the wireless card and than log off and hand it to a student and then it will lose the connection. I log back on as administrator and will have to repair the wireless again. Anyone out there have some suggestions on what to try or can tell me who has no issues with wireless that i could come visit them before i decide to start throwing these laptops and not joking about them.
