I came across some interesting bugs with Drive Image 4 (DM) and Partition Magic 6 (PM)
I installed a new hard drive, winME and PM, and set up the partitions as I desired.
A few days later I installed a second hard disk and a iomega zip drive internal.
When I tried to run PM again, it said invalid partition tables. The book basically
states that if that message comes I have to rebuilt the partitions and basically
destroy all my data.
That is wrong. I unplugged the second hard disk and the zip drive and tried PM and it
works fine without them.
I cannot believe the PM book does not mention that adding hardware can cause problems.
When I tried to install Drive Image with all the hardware installed, it too errored
out saying that "the uninstaller cannot load" then it locked up... and again if I
disconnected the second hard disk and the zip disk it installs just fine.
If I followed the book I would of lost all the data on my new drive. The book sucks!
